From Detroit to Switzerland: electronic music washed into our country at the end of the 1980s and is here to stay. Today, more than 30 years later, Switzerland is regarded as one of the world’s techno strongholds. In 2017, Zurich’s club culture has been listed as a living UNESCO tradition. With the beats in clubs and at illegal parties, a youth culture emerged in the 1990s that is as diverse as the countless styles of electronic music. However, one element unites all subcultures: the flyer as a key means of communication.
