Interactive mobility map

Background: As part of the overall transportation concept, we developed an interactive map for the greater Baden area. The canton of Aargau used the map to publish around 50 future mobility proposals and various developments relating to district settlements and open spaces. In a public participation process, the district’s residents were able to enter comments on the measures directly on the map. This resulted in over 3'500 constructive suggestions and plenty of feedback, which will help the greater Baden area to develop.

The map received the bronze award from Best of Swiss Web 2025 in the “Public Value” category.

Background: The foundation of the design is the phoenician alphabet, from which both, the latin and arabic characters emerged. The origin of the phoenician alphabet is located in the Middle East (Palestine & Lebanon). The name of the font "Shatila" is dedicated to a refugee camp in Beirut.
